Walking with some running. Exercising in Las Terrenas. Enjoying the last days of my stay here.
The other day I flew back from a brief trip to Miami into La Catey airport near Las Terrenas. The airport only has one gate. I wanted to try it as I never did while living here and always wanted to. So convenient. It is American Eagle of American Airlines that flies between Miami and Las Terrenas but only seasonal and then on Wednesdays and Saturdays. During, my days in Las Terrenas I had breakfast several times at Tropik Bowl. They have some delicious reasonably healthy dishes. Looks healthy to me at least. I probably have a lot to learn around dieting.
With, exercise in Las Terrenas the best I have done is some walks on the beach with brisk walking and I have tried including running a bit and getting the heart rate up. A cautious attempt still at doing more cardio. I also did some exercise in a pool but it’s not a real exercise pool. A program I used to do where I include some exercises with walking in the pool and then swimming. It’s not very strenuous. Something I used to do here when I lived here in Las Terrenas. My exercise then did not include any cardio and no training with weights. It was even more inconsistent when I lived in Santo Domingo the years before. The only proper exercise I did there was at an exercise pool. Although when swimming in an exercise pool I have often swum faster as a type of cardio.
I am enjoying my last days in Las Terrenas. I wanted to move here about 6 years ago after a failed attempt at moving to and business in the Cayman Islands. When I closed my business in Santo Domingo at the start of the pandemic, I lived here for a large part of the pandemic in 2020–2021 and beginning of 2022 before I finally moved back to Denmark after twenty years away. This morning I had breakfast at the hotel in Las Terrenas. I am a big fan of breakfast and getting more disciplined about it.
