Using Gemini AI for SWOT Analysis. The AI says I have strong writing skills but no revenue model. My AI assistant is a straight shooter.

In this piece, I reflect on my journey as a writer and content creator, sharing insights from a recent SWOT analysis generated by Gemini AI. The AI, acting as a “straight shooter,” highlighted both my strengths and areas for improvement. It affirmed my strong writing skills, authentic voice, and established platform while also pointing out the need for a sustainable revenue model and improved content promotion. “How are you going to make any money from writing?”, the AI seemed to ask. It pointed out what I also currently identify as the fundamental weakness, which is time management of content creation, marketing, platform management, learning and some administrative tasks.

The SWOT analysis also helped me identify key opportunities, such as the rising demand for AI-related content, the growth of remote work, the increasing number of digital nomads, and potential threats, like rapid AI advancements and copyright concerns. As I navigate the challenges and opportunities of building an online publication, I learn new ways to balance personal growth with professional development. I continue to share my experiences with travel, writing groups, and now the evolving landscape of AI in writing. A SWOT analysis is very useful.
