My summer of writing and wandering: Experimenting with the artificial intelligence tool Gemini AI.
I split my time between the warm and picturesque Las Terrenas in the Dominican Republic and the cozy, charming Aarhus in Denmark. I’m always seeking new tools, perspectives, and learning opportunities to improve my writing. This summer, I found an unexpected collaborator for my writing and journey: Gemini AI. My experience is that the AI tool is very good as a critique, but not for writing directly, as I prefer to maintain and develop my own style and voice.
At first, I was hesitant, and it slowed me down as I was learning to use the tool. As I experimented with Gemini’s various features, I discovered it would be a valuable tool for overcoming writer’s block and gaining a fresh perspective on the content creation process. I had the AI tool help me with a summary, which I used for working on an introduction, and with suggesting ideas for a title. The process is to go back and forth with the AI tool until I am happy with the result. Also, I can see Gemini being excellent for development and planning. I am now using the brainstorming tool to develop my content creation platform.
