On the App Meetup I discovered a writing group in Silkeborg. I took the train in the morning from Aarhus. Met the group at the local library. It was a welcoming atmosphere, and all participants presented themselves and what they were writing about. We then wrote for 25 minutes at a time and had breaks in between. I had seen on Meetup that the writing group was for any type of writing. For anybody writing something. Writing a book or a shopping list even. I liked that it was not pretentious. There was a copywriter who works as a freelancer for companies writing texts for websites and advertising and one wrote like a university thesis and another was writing job applications.

I told them about my blog writing where I have been posting a social media blog since the pandemic and now work on an online publication that I publish on LinkedIn, Medium and I send it out to an email list. And that I have since recently named it “Becoming a Writer”. About learning to write. The process and journey of that and now I am also writing about AI. Jumping on the latest bandwagon of course. I also tell people how I have been nomadic and now I am more of a slowmad as I spend most of my time in Aarhus and Las Terrenas. The two locations work as a backdrop for my writing. Being nomadic sounds like is something many who write can identify with and they seemed to.

It suited me to go to Silkeborg as my tax accountant recently moved to a company based there. I made an appointment to see him in the afternoon. I walked through Silkeborg to the accounting firm. Because I was coming, he had asked me to provide the different documentation for my US company Boyter Media LLC and my Dominican Republic company Boyter Island SRL. For their due diligence apparently. I am in the process of updating both so I will do that soon. Both with new virtual office addresses and modifications respectively in the operating agreement and statutes. It has turned out not to be a complicated setup. In Denmark I just have to file a personal tax return.
